The Technology Department functions primarily in a supporting role to other departments and elected officials. We support county departments in all aspects of technical support that range from basic computer help, installation of new computers, devices, software and phone systems to backups and security including virus/malware prevention and removal. We serve the public by maintaining county websites, finding more efficient use of existing and new technology used in the county government, maintaining county data servers and public computers, supporting GIS, E-911, and Public Safety as well as supporting and operating computer systems used to tabulate elections. The Technology Department works under the direction of the Board of Commissioners
