MARRIAGE LICENSE INFORMATION
To get a marriage license:
AGE:
MALE AND FEMALE, 18 years of age and older may apply,
showing a birth certificate (signed & sealed), a valid driver's license,
passport, draft registration card, military ID card, service discharge
or a judicial decree establishing the date of birth.
MALE AND FEMALE, 17 years of age may apply with both parents present
to sign, showing birth certificate or one of the items listed above.
FEMALES, 15 or 16 years of age, may apply with special permission
of a judge (for reason of pregnancy or birth and marrying child's parent)
AND with both parents present to sign giving consent, showing birth certificate
or one of the items above.
WAITING PERIOD
THERE IS NO WAITING PERIOD
RESIDENTS OF INDIANA
Bride and Groom must apply together in the County in which
one of them live, but can
be married anywhere in the State of Indiana.
NONRESIDENTS OF INDIANA
Couple must be married in the County of Indiana in which they apply for
their marriage
license.

COST OF MARRIAGE LICENSE
CASH must be paid when applying. $20.00 for Indiana residents.
$62.00 for out-of-state residents. A certified copy of the marriage
license will be mailed to the couple after the Record of Marriage is received
and recorded. Marriage License is good for 60 days after date of
issuance.
Marriage must be performed in the State of Indiana. |
